Love. My favorite action. Favorite word.

In light of Valentine's Day, today I wanted to talk about love in a different way. The action of self love and self care through tangibles.

The sum of 143 is 8, so here's 8 things I'm loving right now in no particular order:)

1. My Hustle Journal

I have tons of journals and notebooks. No surprise. I find it to be the perfect form of cathartic expression. To actually write things down.

To do lists, ideas, goals, prayers, name it.

My hustle journal is one that is beginning to fill up with gems and things specifically dedicated to my hustle.

2. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

So fun fact: I often like to go browse Barnes and Noble for book suggestions and ideas. Very seldom do I actually purchase books at retail because I'm super frugal so I always will compile a list of things that capture my interest and then go buy them from a used bookstore or website.

So it happens that both of my sisters happened to get me the exactly same book for Christmas! I had a gift receipt so I returned one and then went to go pick up something different at Barnes and Noble. Like the one time I actually purchase a book at retail.

I came across this book and it definitely captured my attention. Maybe it was the bright orange cover or the fact that not giving a f*ck is a counter intuitive approach to living a happy life?

At any rate I just finished it a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely ahmayzing. Great points driven home easily and I definitely recommend you picking it up for your next read.

3. Palo Santo

I heard my best friend in my head Fran mention she lives by Palo Santo on the Friend Zone Podcast.

Palo Santo is a tree that grows in South America and is commonly referred to as "holy wood". It has a woodsy aroma somewhere in the family of Frankincense and Myrrh and is often used as an incense.

Palo Santo is traditionally used for relieving common colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more.  This Essential Oil is great for Aromatherapy and can also be used during massage work to assist in healing.

It is also great for calming the immune and nervous systems for faster recovery of illness.

With so many benefits I had to try and I love it! The smell of the wood is pretty potent without even burning. The only downside is that the embers don't continuously burn like typical incense so relighting is necessary.

I love to burn and cleanse my atmosphere prior to hopping on my yoga mat to work through some flows.

4. Rishi Masala Chai tea

We sell and brew Rishi branded tea at the yoga studio I work at and it's absolutely amazing. So many amazing flavors that are very aromatic as well.

I pick the flavor on Saturday mornings and every time without fail I select Masala Chai.

It's kind of spicy yet soothing and has the perfect blend to awaken all of your senses.

5. Sampha's - Process

I first discovered Sampha from Drake's - Too Much. Since then I always find a way to incorporate his work into my playlists.

His soft airy voice paired with amazing beats makes for the perfect mellow atmosphere that will keep that dopamine flowing so you don't end up completely falling asleep.

He recently released a new project entitled "Process" and it's so dope. I love it! Give it a listen when you have a moment. I'm sure you'll feel the same way!

6. Ulta "Lilac-ing you" nail polish

This lilac color is perfect to brighten up any dull winter day. It's definitely a spring color but I've been rocking it for the majority of this cold season, because..well..I'm just different haha.

I actually picked it up from the clearance rack at Ulta, and having never tried any of their polishes thought it would be the perfect time to give it a try.

Not only is the color amazing but the consistency and quality of the polish makes it great and long lasting. I'll definitely be picking up some additional colors in the near future.

7. Shea Moisture Superfruit Multi-Vitamin Renewal Facial Wipes

Who knew Shea Moisture made facial wipes in the same amazing flavor as my favorite deep conditioner?!

Not only do these wipes smell absolutely amazing, they're great for removing makeup, balancing uneven texture and soothing for sensitive skin.

8. Cliff Bar Builder's Chocolate Mint Protein Bar

Lastly I've been loving the Cliff's Mint Chocolate Protein Bars! They're packed with 20grams of protein and are super yummy.

I'm constantly looking for new ways to incorporate protein into my diet and these bars are perfect. They don't taste chalky where you have to literally force them down, you actually feel like you're eating a candy or snack bar.

So that's what I'm loving currently. Pick yourself up a tangible to show some self care and self love #JustBecauseItsTuesday

Be awesomely amazing,
