Thai Spicy Drunken Noodles | TATW

In DC there's this cute little restaurant called Beau Thai. It was here where I first tried Thai drunken noodles. Ah-may-zing! I have a love for many Thai dishes but drunken noodles definitely tops that list! Trying to recreate that meal was a difficult one but I've figured out a recipe for, lets say, Vanessa's take on Thai spicy drunken noodles and it's pretty yummy! ;)

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1/2 box of rice noodles (preferably wide)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 cups fresh greenbeans (or chinese broccoli)
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Simply Asia Spicy Szechwan Five spice seasoning (can find at Walmart)
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder

  1. Chop vegetables (onion, red pepper and green beans)
  2. Heat 1/2 tbsp of butter in deep skillet pan and saute vegetables  for ~5min
  3. Add salt, pepper, 5 spice for taste
  4. Chop chicken into 1in pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder
  5. Add vegetable oil to small skillet and cook chicken until well done
  6. Combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, vegetable oil and 5 spice in small bowl
  7. In a large pot, cook rice noodles (according to direction on box)
  8. Bring water to a boil, remove, add noodles and let sit covered for 10min stirring occationally; drain
  9. Combine vegetables, noodles and sauce mixture
  10. Serve and enjoy:)
