I'll pray for you...
How many times have we heard this statement or said it. Whether you're going through something, or someone lost a love one, or maybe even for a big exam coming up for a friend. Why has it become so much as a statement of endearment rather than a verb? An actual action.
I know I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure that only 25% of the time some actually really do pray.
I guess because that was once me a few years ago. It always felt like the right thing to say, and although I had every intention of following suit, I either got busy or merely forgot. I would say ohh I'll do it tonight during my prayer time where I ended up falling asleep mid prayer [I know I'm not the only one!]
Somewhere along the way things changed. Maybe it was when I was going through a really tough time and really needed those prayers. Whenever someone would say "I'm sorry. I'm praying for you" I hoped deep down inside that they actually were.
Prayer changes things and I'm a firm believer of that. So now every time someone asks me to pray for them or I do it just because, there's no "waiting until tonight"; there's stopping everything that I'm doing right now to utter a few words and a small prayer for them. Nothing formal but enough to express to the Lord my desire to touch their situation.
So on this Tuesday, you as my readers, I don't know 80% of you, but know that I whisper a prayer for you in my quiet time. I pray that my words encourage you and helps to give you a push when you need it most. I pray that whatever you're struggling with or battling gets tamed. Because when two or more touch and agree..... whew!
I'll pray for you...no really, just because it's Tuesday.
Be awesomely Amazing,
