July Book Corner
Last month was a really busy month for me so I only got to finish 2 books. I just added a huge papasan chair to my spare bedroom and it has turned into my favorite place to curl up under a blanket and dive into my books. Don't forget if you're interested in any of the books I review feel free to click the picture link! Any who lets get to it...
It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be - Paul Arden
Your vision of where or who you want to be is the greatest asset you need. Without having a goal it's difficult to score
The was a very interesting book. For a book with such a long title it was definitely a quick easy read. I feel like it was mostly directed to someone with a career in advertising but packed a lot of gems that anyone could apply to their own life because, lets face it, you are your own brand and you must sell yourself everyday! I especially like his unique take on presenting a book with a lot of photos and play on editing it so the page matches what point he's trying to get across. I definitely recommend this book. I'll give it 4 bookmarks:)
The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom - Don Miguel Ruiz
Be impeccable to your word. Don't take anything personally. Don't make assumptions. Always do your best.
The Four Agreements is an amazing book offering 4 agreements or rules that you should follow and carry with you throughout life. It is well written and although the agreements are things that you would consider to be common sense sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget to do these things. Great read! I'll give it 5 bookmarks!
That concludes this months book corner. Two great books that were short easy reads and that I definitely recommend to someone trying to better themselves!
What are you reading this month?!
